After a nice breakfast at the holiday park and a slow morning knowing that we haven’t got too much to cycle today (Bamburgh to Berwick-Upon-Teed), we set off with the sun shining. We noticed Holy Island on the map, so we decided we’d try and check it out……
… but we didn’t know much about tide timings…
According to the signs there, we’d missed our crossing time by an hour so and it would be a few hours until the next opportuity to cross. By this point, the weather had gotten chilly We decide it would be best to carry on our cycle and leave Holy Island for another time.
We found a motorhome and caravan park in Berwick to pitch up, and then went out looking for fish and chips and some seal spotting.
This was Penny’s last day on the trip. We had a short walk along the coast and then called it a day.
